Welcome back, MMUUSD! It’s official: the 2026–2027 school year is underway! On this special first-day-of-school episode Superintendent Muldoon and Community Engagement & Communications Coordinator, Nora Pemberton kick off a multi-part series focused on Belonging. We sit down with two incredible parent group leaders, Marie Claire Johnson and Andrea Parikh, to discuss the vital work happening beyond the classroom walls.

Important Update: MMUUSD is moving to device-free school days this year.

Recent property tax increases in Jericho and Underhill were largely caused by a new state rule that misadjusted tax rates following local reappraisals, diverting extra funds to the State Education Fund rather than local schools. We have urged our state legislators to correct this law, and we will continue advocating for a resolution on behalf of our community.
